Nature park cottage (“Naturpark Hütte”)
In the middle of the nature park Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen, between the monastery town St. Lambrecht and the lookout mountain Grebenzen (1892 m), nestled in an idyllic little valley, lies a quiet settlement with our nature park cottage, which is located 15 min. away from our farm in Murau.
Our completely self-contained semi-detached house is both the ideal place for those seeking peace and quiet, to arrive at yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, as well as for sports enthusiasts as a starting point for numerous activities in winter and summer. The skiing area Grebenzen is only a few minutes away by car, to Kreischberg it is a 20 min. drive. The Grebenzen is popular as a fantastic hiking area and also has a natural sledge run in winter.
Nearby there are opportunities for cross-country skiing and ice skating, a bike path (Via natura bike path) and hiking trail go practically directly from the nature park cottage. Numerous ponds, streams and springs are waiting to be discovered. For example, at the end of the valley on the border with Carinthia you will find the dreamy Auerlingsee, a picturesque insider tip with the possibility of swimming.
After so much activity, a spacious covered terrace invites you to relax in the warmer season, perfect also for toddlers, sandbox, swing and various games make children’s eyes shine. In the winter months, the wood-burning stove in the living room with kitchen provides a genuine cottage atmosphere – the firewood for it is included! In addition, there is a cozy, comfortable electric and gas heating.
Spread over the first floor and two floors are two bathrooms with toilet and shower, two bedrooms for two adults each (total of four adults) and a sleeping possibility in the attic with 4 beds, ideal for children / teenagers.
Up to 8 people can make themselves comfortable in the living room at the dining table and the adjacent sitting area.
Please understand that we can not accept dogs in the nature park hut. As an alternative with your four-legged friend, we recommend our alpine hut.
